A slipknot creates the first loop on the hook.
1 Make a loop in your yarn 6" from the end, make sure the non working end is laying across on top.
2 Insert your hook through the loop, grab the non working yarn tail, pull a loop through to the front.
3 Pull on the end of the yarn to tighten the knot but not too tightly as you will need to be able to draw your first loop through this slipknot.
Slipknot complete.
