Hello and welcome! I'm Kerry, and I'm delighted you're here.

I've been designing crochet patterns for over 16 years, and thousands of crocheters around the world have enjoyed making my designs. Every pattern is carefully written with clear, step-by-step instructions, detailed photo tutorials, and stitch guides, making them easy to follow whether you're building confidence or have years of crochet experience.

My love of crochet began when I was just 12 years old. My grandmother and her sisters taught me to knit and crochet in their cosy little home in Dorset. I still remember sitting by the warm coal fire with hot chocolate and biscuits while listening to their knitting needles gently click away as they chatted. Those afternoons inspired a lifelong passion that I'm fortunate enough to share with others today.

Before becoming a full-time designer, I studied interior design and worked creating bespoke soft furnishings. Later, I spent seven rewarding years as a full-time foster carer, mainly caring for new-born babies. Many arrived with very little of their own, so I began knitting and crocheting tiny hats, blankets and clothes to keep them warm and comfortable. Each little outfit was lovingly packed into their memory box when they moved on, and I still like to think that one day they'll discover those handmade treasures and know they were cared for with love.

When I returned to my creative passions, I decided to turn my lifelong love of crochet into a business. I discovered Etsy in 2013, opened Kerry Jayne Designs, and have never looked back.

Today you'll usually find me surrounded by colourful yarn, designing new patterns from my home in the beautiful county of Dorset on England's south coast. I still love creating timeless keepsakes and helping crocheters around the world make beautiful gifts for the little ones they love.
